Serpent snippets
13/07/2007 09:08 pmIzzie is supposed to be updating our 101 list or at least doing stuff on it like sorting out the broom cupboard. But feeling sort of listless and lazy the last few days.
Had the grandest plans to go to Fremantle after this morning's meeting. It would be the most perfect place and auspicious date for the first squiggle with our new black fountain pen. But when it's a grey cloudy day, does not really make much sense - especially now that bus fares are so expensive. Two days in a row is just a bit decadent.
So, figured that the next best suitable place would be our own little garden. Is a little bit scratchy but will be almost as good as the old one before long. It doesn't have the little crack on the lid and is all bright and shiny and new but somehow is just not quite the same.
But no point in crying over spilt ink. It will not bring our old Preciousss back.
Had a very pink and fluffy morning chairing that meeting this morning. Went very well indeed. Sometimes you can just do things on autopilot - like they just come naturally with little effort at all and are often so much better than those days when you struggle and try too hard.
Folks were rather surprised to see layers of pink instead of the usual beige and green
And then we went back for more pink and fluffy goodness at the old art deco Picadilly Cinema. It's actually painted pink with silver and black finishings. Very pretty indeed. Much more character than the soulless multiplexes. And today had the advantage of not being too near any popcorn munching monsters so managed to catch some of the significant snippets of dialogue missed out on yesterday
Well. Will soon be time to slink outside and toast our toes while listening to the very last instalment of Dracula on the radio. So so spooooky.
