The Izzie List - Progress Report
29/02/2008 08:45 pmFinally - a progress report on the infamous 101 list
Supposed to have been doing this once a month at New Moon time but the inner serpent has been seriously lazy
But 29th February is just the excuse we need to make up for the errors of our ways
So - in progress for February 2008
36.Toss 10 things for 101 days
Some serious decluttering going on
40.Back up important files at least once per month
This one's been on steroids. Due to losing everything not saved since our backup of 02/01/08 before the Great Crash, been seriously vigilant on this one and backed up the whole Izzie user folder once with absolutely everything in it including iTunes, all piccies and documents. Also backed up the more mundane stuff several times too
52.Read the Potter series again from start to finish
Finished reading "Prisoner of Azkaban" on Wednesday 6th February
Started reading "Goblet of Fire" on Thursday 7thh February
65.Design a tarot deck
Working on the general outline so far - what symbols to use for the four suits, general colour scheme etc. Not yet gotten to doing individual cards yet
71.Reread the Izzie green spiral notebooks from 2002
Got to the end of February. And here the nostalgia ends. Or rather yesterday as there was no 29th of February back in 2002. As of tomorrow, the recycled calendar moves from 2002 to 2003
The one day that stands out from that year was Thursday 20th March - the day that GWB and his minions invaded Iraq and within two months declared "Mission Accomplished"
76.Find and make 10 recipes with chickpeas
12th February 2008 another improvised curry 2/10
98.Sort out our munchies hoarding problem
17 days of not buying munchies. Not bad but should be 12 or less like last month
Completed for February 2008
The Big one - several bottles of bubbles worth
3.Install solar panels and connect to grid
Got the panels put up on 14th February and due to a stuff up, did not get connected to the grid until Saturday just gone
8.Reduce water usage to 50% of water bill from 2006
Bill arrived 07/08 usage was 160 kilolitres for 180 days
That's 40% of 06/07 usage and 60% of 05/06 usage so we'll consider this goal achieved
