Bernie Sanders has a snowball's chance in hell of getting the nomination but I guess he already knows that. The whole point of his campaign is to be the voice in the wilderness keeping the bastards honest. He really does suit the role of an Old Testament prophet.
I saw The Dead Zone centuries ago but had to leave early in order to meet my sister. I desperately wanted to know how it ended so I got the book to find out. I think the book is much creepier as there was no need to whitewash the serial killer stuff and Stillson came across as much more sinister. I am sorry to hear that it had such an unhappy ending for you the second time round.
I find it scary that a potential presidential candidate can call for killing the families of enemies as retribution, wants to bring back waterboarding and then adds insult to injury by making disgusting comments about those who do not support such extreme policies.
Frankly the other awful Donald also held such opinions (and also acted on them) but was a bit less crude in expressing them. I guess it's less the nastiness of Trump but the lack of restraint and subtlety that has the GOP party backers all panicking. It will be interesting to see which of the two sides has the biggest bag of dirty tricks.
The more I see of Trump, the more he comes across as Clive Palmer on steroids. It is a disgrace how he expects the Queensland govt to bail out his mining companies that somehow always managed to find enough funds in the till to pay Clive's election campaign expenses.
It would be fascinating to have a crystal ball to see what would happen if the Bull took over the china shop.
