Was relishing the possibility of testing out our new found rattiness today on an evening visit to the ma and pa but the little critter was inundated with visitors so we spent most the time talking to the ma and didn't get to talk to him at all. But the funny thing is - Vernon and Petunia are constantly cursing and wishing that some one would put a bullet in that critter - so they are certainly not fans. But Izzie's adoration is not just imitation but based on our deep distrust of authority and those who use and abuse it (and take a guess just which role models of authority made the Izzie so cynical and suspiciousss?)
The ma has a good memory and no time for his lies - as well as being an old fashioned leftie union sort who would never ever vote Liberal in her life. Vernon on the other hand is a petty little man with quite a few characteristics in common with the Rat (the smug smirk for one) and it's probably jealousy plus his pathological hatred for anything British or American (The Rat aspires to be in both camps)He is the sort that is proud to declare his support for the likes of the loopy Citizens' Electoral Council and One Nation.

No matter what the pa's new found position may be on the IR reform - he is definitely against the anti-terror laws and the Iz is going to have so much fun alluding to secret ASIO sources on the internet that substantiate the claims of the Rat. Oh and of course - will accuse him of cynicism and seditious intent. Now what was that phone number again;)
