Well the Californians are considering leaving the United States. There have been queries made about having some sort of referendum to remove bits of their State's constitution that bind them to the US. Maybe if it gets bad enough there will be a bunch of "Blue" States getting together to divorce the "Red" States and form their own country rather than putting up with their fundamentalist, ignorant fellow citizens who truly do live in La La Land or rather TrumpLand or at least some place that has limited contact with reality.
