I find it hilarious that El Pajero Naranja had his beautiful love letter to the sucker tax payers translated into Spanish. Have any of his minions told him yet? Now the the virus is rampaging in the West Wing, things could get interesting. Like Bojo in GB, maybe when it gets personal, they will finally start to take the whole thing seriously. Closing the stable door after the horse has long bolted
Not sure where I saw it but I do remember someone mentioning on Twitter that the first place to open in every state should be the Governor's mansions and the Town Hall. That sure would make some of them think twice before sending the suckers to the front lines I did notice the obsession with hair and nails and also how it is perfectly fine for a bunch of gun nuts to enter government buildings armed to the teeth with not even a parking ticket while the likes of Ahmaud Arbery was gunned down in cold blood more than two months ago by vigilantes just for jogging while black and if not for the video which has gone viral, the two guttersnipes who did it would have completely gotten away with it. I guess creepy Kemp will put on a show and then when the public have moved on to the next distraction, they will let them out the back door.
I don't even want to start on Freaky Flynn who was on the payroll of Putin and Erdogan and likely Mohammed Bone Saw too and also gets a free pass.
How does a teacher even begin to convince kids to be law abiding citizens when they see such appalling double standards every single day?
That is so true what you say about restaurants. From Monday the limit will be 20 people in this bit of Oz. That may be OK for cafes since they have a high turnover and a lot of takeaways even in the BC days. But for many restaurants, it is a disaster. Even in BC times, many of them were operating on a margin of less than 10% so to cut their tables by 50% or even more makes most of them simply unviable and of course as you observed, it transfers the liability from the government to the individual business owner.
The Federal Government here has bailed out many workers who have lost their jobs due to such forced closures. It will be interesting to see what percentage of the businesses will still be around six months from now.
