Pottering along
Yet another Big Mac free day
The house is still hot and stuffy while outside is cool and breezy
I guess I shouldn't have been so greedy with that slice of rhubarb pie that I snatched from Catness
Today I should have been celebrating 19 years of Izziness
I packed a proper picnic with Camembert,water crackers that look suspiciously like Communion wafers, a baguette and a water bottle half filled with an inky South Australian red
I went to the usual old lunatic asylum, squiggled in the green spiral notebook and even started a new notebook for doodles
It was also a gorgeous Goldilocks day
Not too hot. Not too cold
But the magic just didn't happen
The contrast between now and then just couldn't be greater which of course makes me even more miserable
The day started with me going to a certain city book shop to get a Goal Digger diary
I'd cased the joint last week so I knew exactly where to find them
I'd planned this trip 11 months ago when I dropped by and all the diaries were half price but the one I wanted was gone. They had other stuff from the same company
It simply never occurred to me that they'd be sold out already
It was silly to let that upset me but it was the last straw after 30 days of disappointment and chaos
Later I did manage to do my new atomic habit of sorting or tossing ten things
That takes a lot less time than one bite sized Duolingo lesson so I'm hoping there's no excuse not to also manage a 1,300 day streak
I guess the new year has been a circuit breaker for some bad habits. Especially procrastinating
But the big one is sneakily defeating the Daleks and Dementors
This time I'm hoping to get the Doc on board too. Already booked the appointment
