Four Legs Good. Two Legs Better

I just bought a ticket for Animal Farm BEFORE reading this blurb.
I wanted to pick the performance on Tuesday 19th October because there is a Q&A after the show. But that would be tempting fate. The simple act of booking that date would  cause the arrival of a red letter announcing that I've finally moved to the top of the op queue for Monday 18th.

The days of dawdling are over because the new Covid rules means that you have to buy all the tickets in a block. To find a single solitary spot is a rare thing indeed and it would be nuts to procrastinate.

So I am trading tomorrow's zoo visit for a trip to the farm from HELL.

My fellow patriots,

We’re going to MAKE ANIMAL FARM GREAT!

The reign of terror is over. You have put your faith in animalism and it has delivered. Best economy we’ve ever had. Ask a lot of pigs and they’ll tell you nobody knows economy better than me. Best thing… you’re really going to love this… you can’t wait to hear it I know… they always say I have the best ideas… we’re building a windmill! Trust me. You’re going to love it. Made by animals, for animals, bringing power to animals!

I guess I should reread that book. I only remember it vaguely, and maybe I was too young to appreciate it when I read it. It sounds pretty wicked. And that hilarious adventure game about carnivorism gives out some Animal Farm vibes, I think...

I love these modernized plays which incorporate the digital culture. Like that Jesus Christ Superstar play featuring huge screens, Jesus' Twitter feed, and Judas coming to the secure police headquarters. Maybe your version of Animal Farm also makes it to YouTube eventually. I'll be definitely rereading the book.
