Angels and Demons
The party is nearly over. Either the Donald will soon fade away into oblivion after endless hissy fits or reality will become uncannily like a Stephen King novel. The Dead Zone comes to mind but with the alternative ending.
Or maybe an earlier infernal vision - this one tweaked from Hieronymous Bosch

On first appearances, the Trumpet has offended just about everyone in the country and the number are most definitely not in his favour. But the Donald's minions are so much more motivated than Hillary's and since they don't have compulsory voting in the USA, demography isn't destiny and it is hard to know which way the wind will blow.
If Mr Porkie loses Izzie will be sort of sad to see the end to the veritable feast of cartoon goodness.
Donald Trump is extremely inspiring but for all the wrong reasons.

It's going to be a fascinating day watching the numbers roll in over here on the other side of the planet.
We should know by 6pm local time tomorrow.
PS Such a pity that both candidates are such a pair of devils. It has been most entertaining for the impartial martians on the other side of the world but it's not like it's just some neverending reality television show or Game of Thrones.
Bernie Saunders or the present Pope Francis running as candidates would have made the race much more fun and maybe even more civilized. Who knows - policies might even have got a mention.

Welcome to Gilead
It is so amusing, actually sickening to see a man who has spent most of his life and certainly the last 18 months striking matches and pouring petrol everywhere and now he's donning the fireman's hat and is going to save the planet. As some previous commentators said - Trump isn't running for President, he's running to be Batman.
What really freaked out the Izzie - today I darkened the door of a McDonalds (on the way to one of those stupid govt job agency appointments) and the television was showing the CNN election coverage. At that stage Trump was at 132 seats and Hillary at 104.
The woman who brought me my coffee and toastie glanced at the screen and was positively jubilant. She wasn't even from the United States but did a high five. I responded in kind with a toast to The Trainwreck.
She was surprised I should think that and proclaimed that if Hillary had got elected she would have led the world to war and Izzie ever so innocently asked along the lines - and so you don't think that Donald wouldn't do that and what makes you think that she would and that he wouldn't.
She definitely didn't. Izzie had to wonder - was it the lack of Coke Zero in the serpent diet that causes this lack of understanding?
It got positively scary when I heard the same comments from two customers at another place a few hours later when the result was known. Hillary would have nuked us all. I asked what made them say that. That's news to me. Oh that's because the mainstream media here don't tell us the true facts. Who would have ever thought that Rupert Murdoch would have been so biased against the Clintons?
I can understand why lots of folks don't like HRC. She is often smug and patronising and has Malcolm Turnbull's "born to rule" attitude. But for all that she is actually competent and astonishingly cool in the most stressful situations. She was especially impressive in those feral excuses for presidential debates. But it is not mere dislike but visceral hatred and loathing accompanied by accusations of warmongering and psychopathic tendencies which seem far more applicable to the Trumpet. And that's here in Oz too. I suspect this attitude is especially common amongst the born again Christians such as the Hillview horrors.
But it's an ill wind that blows no good ;) Margaret Atwood and Stephen King are going to do very well on the royalties front and the Canadian migration website has apparently been crashed for most of today.

Sick and Twisted
The wheel of fortune
Hillary is tired of the struggle. She wonders if it was all worth it. She had devoted a good 40 years of her life to the cause and was within a whisper of victory when the prize was so savagely stolen from her within sight of the finish line. It was a cruel fate in itself without the further indignity of being deported to solitary confinement in the basements of Camp X Ray at Guantanamo Bay. She had to count her blessings and be grateful for small mercies. At least she was still alive. She had feared the surging rage of the lynch mob. She had been expected to be torn to pieces by them or maybe even worse to be inflicted with the indignity of a show trial and to be hauled before the courts to be tried as a witch with every last minute detail of her personal life lain bare for public perusal and ridicule. At least her ex-husband had read the tea leaves correctly and left the land a few days before the fateful day of the election.
He would most certainly have been sent to sizzle in the chair for an assortment of sex crimes but not before every detail of his dirty laundry was washed in public and every pubic hair measured and counted on the airwaves, Facebook and Fox News. Oh yes. The big league truth team have even worse things in store.
To think that she had stood by him through thick and through thin. Some had said she had sold her soul or at least sold out the sisterhood in forgiving such a philandering wanker. Of course she had to swallow her pride and the endless torrents of abuse in the press. But the end reward would be great and she had never once taken her eyes off the prize. So to have given up so much only to be pipped at the post was too painful to contemplate.
But enough of the pity parties. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Both men were bastards and they would pay when the wheel of fate turned. If only it was not so exceedingly slow.
So the letter from his lawyer had landed in her inbox the very same day that hers had arrived at his receptionist’s desk. A dark haired 20 something beauty with long legs and a fondness for blue dresses. Of course she had not sent it by email. She had resorted to the old fashioned snail registered post service.
Since then Hillary has been relocated to the basement dungeons of the White House where the Donald visits every day with his copy of The Daily Trumpet to taunt her with.
Since then Mephistopheles has devoted his time to using "The Art of the Deal" as a Bible for the harvesting of ever increasing numbers of souls. If the truth be told - he actually wrote the original text and the Donald and his ghost writer Tony Schwartz just went and plagiarized his work.
It's funny. Like the Big Man himself, this serpent's planning and preparation for this year's nano was non- existent - even less than for the very first year I joined when I signed up a couple of days before the start of November.
But after digging up the original "The Art of the Deal" from the dusty depths of the serpent library of dark tomes, it has provided endless inspiration and ideas. Using the chapter titles and content as a structure has brought order to the chaos of tarot and Instigations inspired squiggles.
I even get to recycle the prompt concerning the guided tours of hell.
Let's keep this going. Who says that magic and the sick and twisted musings of felines and serpents are just a bunch of pointless and harmless musings?
Re: Sick and Twisted
I guess your Nano novel will be going even better now... RL horror is always so inspiring.

As Michael Arntzen never tires of telling us
"Only TROUBLE is interesting"
By far the most logical and coherent explanation for the odds being in the Game maker's favour that I have seen so far is an article written in March this year
I found it from listening to the The Religion and Ethics report on the radio this morning and was hoping they would put up a transcript by now.
Left parties the world over were founded to advance the fortunes of working people. But our left party in America – one of our two monopoly parties – chose long ago to turn its back on these people’s concerns, making itself instead into the tribune of the enlightened professional class, a “creative class” that makes innovative things like derivative securities and smartphone apps. The working people that the party used to care about, Democrats figured, had nowhere else to go, in the famous Clinton-era expression. The party just didn’t need to listen to them any longer.
And along came some one who did listen (for his own nefarious motives of course) and offered them an alternative place to go and the rest is history)
Feeding on genuine grievances for one's own evil purposes is an excellent tactic for all aspiring despots. It has a tried and proven track record ;)
a curious coincidence, possible plot twist?
So, basically, Donald is translated to Russian as Vladimir ;)
First we take the White House .......
Ever onward to Total Victory ;)
There's no stopping the Terrible Twins
