Be afraid. Be very afraid.

After one week of following Cardinal Pell's Pity Party, I did not think such a sniveling self righteous and buck passing heartless performance could be trumped. He's so completely clueless and out of touch with reality that he thought pleading a heart condition to avoid appearing live at the Royal Commission would get him off the hook. But then the victims of his incompetence or willful ignorance came to visit him in spite of their infinitely worse health problems.

Then along came Super Tuesday and even down here in distant Oz, we were subjected to the endless rantings and ravings of yet another puffed up pompous git.

Donald Trump is no joke. He's not some idiot clown but a sick and twisted megamaniacal egotistical evil goblin. He's also a heartless winker.

Not content with trashing the landscape, digging up trees, destroying water supplies so some locals are left for weeks without running water, The Trump even does dirty deals with the local councils so that he can compulsorily acquire the properties of pesky locals because he doesn't like them or how they ruin his views.

David and Goliath

What is even more frightening are his armies of minions who troll the youtube channels justifying every act of depravity in the name of FREEDOM and LIBERTY and sticking 2 fingers up to the so called establishment. If they can believe that such a one percenter wanker is not part of the establishment then they can believe anything.

It is so scary that Trump's delusions of grandeur are so close to becoming reality.

John Oliver was spot on when he says to mark the date of Friday 20th January 2017 in our calendars because that is the day in the future that all the geeks with time machines will want to go back to in order to fix up the coming chaos when the bull in the china shop swears the oath of allegiance.

The planet is just not big enough for North Korea's creepy Kim and Donald Trump to strut together at the top of the world stage. One of them will surely press the red button.

It's Dead Zone deja vu all over again.

Well we can only hope that there are enough 'sane' US voters who even if they don't like Hillary Clinton they'll vote for her instead of this ogre. We'll all be living in a very Dead Zone if they don't. Admittedly the other Republican candidates are not particularly impressive but then I'm not a right-wing religious nut job so I guess I can't appreciate the qualities of the candidates. I don't think Bernie Sanders will win the Democrats' nomination. He might appeal to young idealistic voters but he's unlikely to appeal to the vast majority who are much more conservative and would probably consider him as a Communist.

I remember seeing The Dead Zone movie yonks ago. Quite liked it in fact. Went back for a second viewing but tripped and fell down the stairs and was carted to ER to get x-rays of my shattered foot bones. Trump would be even more dangerous if he was vaguely attractive and could pretend that he wasn't a racist reactionary but put on a smoother act. Though if he did get elected he might be the first US President impeached for human rights abuses. I don't think the Republican party's financial backers and insiders will want to have him hanging around for too long. It would totally ruin "the brand" for what it is worth to them.

It is weird how she is spruiking herself as a feminist these days, but she was Tones adviser when he was in Opposition and she never said anything about his blatant sexist campaign against Gillard. Of course it could have been a typical Tony frolic where he broke free of all control to "fight, fight, fight". Maybe feminism only applies to Tone's "women of calibre" like herself and certainly not to "Juliar". But then she was Brendan Nelson's chief political adviser and then moved on to Malcolm Turnbull, got demoted to deputy adviser and then made the smooth transition to Tony when he was the Opposition Leader. And they are criticising Julie Bishop for her lack of loyalty. Hypocrites!

I get the feeling that she only gained some degree of control over Tones when he became PM and he started to fail. He probably turned to her then to get help to fix it and so became dependent on her for her advice, but then there were the occasional breakouts and frolics (eg the Knighthood for Phil the Greek) when he probably ignored her advice and when he got egg all over his face he would run back to her to get her help to fix it. It sounds all rather pathetic but I think maybe he does like a "dominant" woman after all. *g* The one person I feel sorry for is his wife, but then she was silly enough to marry the moron. It amazes me how she stuck it out for so long.
