It never ceases to amaze me that we have endured at least 2,000 years of claims of (white) male superiority because the male of the species is the master of logic and reason while us weak females are guided purely by irrational emotions.
And they say this in all seriousness regardless of the ridiculous number of men who have lost their lives, their jobs or their relationships due to their inability or unwillingness to keep their trouser snakes under control. Or as you stated above, who create for themselves a whole edifice of belief based on a rejection or some petty jealousy.
Within the last year there was another shooter at a college I think. He apparently was a member of some online forum where a bunch of males complained about being unable to get laid and uppity bitches who need to be taught a lesson. I think he also claimed that his shooting spree was a protest against such uppity women in spite of the fact that most of the people he shot were actually male.
This entitlement thinking seems to be remarkably widespread (The mad monk comes to mind) but not always with such appalling consequences.
I suspect the conversations in the USA would be remarkably different if a black man (or an Iranian) had done the same in a white church. Firstly they would have likely not lived to tell the tale. Either a cop or some one with a gun would have probably shot them on the spot. There would be no hesitation at all to call it a racial attack or a hate crime. For God sake this guttersnipe has boasted of letting one victim live as a witness and has straight out said that he did it 'for the white race' etc etc and wears South African and Rhodesian flags and still there are folks claiming that it was not a racial attack.
I ended up going to Al Jazeera to follow the story because it was so awful seeing all the Fox news apologist sorts of nonsense in so much of the US media. The case that immediately comes to mind is the Boston bombing. Aside from the strange legions of fan girls, there was little talk of poor misunderstood mentally unstable Chechens.
