One very peeved putty cat says I can has CONTENT UNAVAILABLE

Pretty putty cat stolen from Geekology (at least those geeks won't go suing this serpent for snatching their copyrighted cats)
And the wonderful parody based on the song "American Pie" by Don McLean. Most folks out there in Cyberia are way too young to remember the original

Evil goblin lawyers up to the usual tricks of dumping all the risk onto the little fish at the bottom of the food chain and poisoning the pond.
All they need to do is accuse you of UnAmerican activities such as sharing and taking the piss out of the corporate zombies. Most of us 99% will not have the means to defend ourselves from the Grand Inquisitors of Goblin Central

USA politicians once again go making the world safe for Rupert Murdoch, Hollywood, Microsoft, Monsanto and their minions

I really liked the The Day the LOLcats Died. That song (in its original) is actually one of the few I can play on the guitar myself. In fact I did a version of my own (about boarding school, rather than LOLcats) when I was in my final school year :)

I can only hope that the attention raised about this is enough to get representatives to actually inform themselves about what this bill really means. I'm fairly certain most of them don't even consider the implications because they use the internet to check the weather or read the odd email.

Izzie loves that song too and especially its original incarnation. Used to have great fun trying to work out who all the various characters and events were. It's sort of got the same flavour as Nostradamus quatrains.

Came across an ever so juicy take on this attempt to use a nuclear bomb to kill a mosquito and how even the most perfect politician with the purest of intentions has become ensnared in a web of his own making

Scheming snatching nasty little thief (http://politicartoons.livejournal.com/2899426.html?thread=68801250#t68801250)

That is the special joy of standing in judgement. Everyone is out there just waiting for you to stuff up and then they will tell the world tales about pots and kettles

(so so hates no longer having subject lines)

Haha, great link :)

I've been reading that the bill has been suspended with many more politicians realising how unpopular this thing is. It makes you wonder, how many bills get passed where they don't understand/care about the effect and which don't get the publicity that this one did, doesn't it?

I used to wonder about the figures in the song as well. Obviously he talks about a lot that happened before my time, but I was always into the 60s and 70s music scene and social and political movements, so I got some of it.

That's brilliant, and it pretty much sums it all up.
