So sorry that after all the pain your mother has been through it was for naught. It sounds like the doctor was on some sort of ego-trip, wanting to get the result but not caring a fig about the way he was treating his patient. His forte maybe research but he didn't get any distinctions in common humanity. I'm so glad all my oncologists were female and always gave me options and did not push me onto chemo when I had told them I didn't want it. Can your mother come and stay with you? I assume your father is as useless in looking after your mother as mine was. My father may not have been as toxic but he certainly was useless on the domestic front and could be totally self-centred so that he really didn't seem to realise how bad my mother was until the very end. Is a nurse or support worker coming in to visit your mum to administer pain relief, bathe her etc or is she still in hospital?
Well I guess there won't be too many visits to the Dursley residence after your mother has gone. And I guess he will complain about being ignored. My father used to claim that he wished it was him who had died, but I think he was just feeling sorry for himself. I guess his generation of men were used to being looked after by a woman from cradle to grave.
