I guess he will have a lot to celebrate when the timid turtle McConnell hiding from the truth in his tum tum tree gets trump off the hook in the flim flam sham show trial currently running in the US Senate.
What sort of court case has no witnesses, no evidence and lets the jurors just potter off and go for extended loo breaks and chats with the Fox 'news' folks or play around with their mobile phones in the actual chamber?
It is ironic that I missed out on big chunks of the first day of proceedings because I was conscripted for jury duty myself. The trial finished a day earlier than scheduled so i took the opportunity of the time off work to watch the second day of the US impeachment trial from 6am this morning until close of business at nearly 11am local time. It did not escape my notice that the minor criminal matter we dealt with in a small court was conducted with more seriousness, integrity and observance of proper procedure and protocol than the circus in the US Senate.
The phone ban in particular is strictly enforced with a lock up cupboard for that very purpose.
