Izzie is slinking about the streets of Fremantle on this glorious crisp and crunchy day. The sun has just gone to bed and the Iz is sitting outside at a cafe making the most of the wifi friendly capuccino strip. Was tempted to lurk around Dome cafe but figures the Iz would be truly truly sad if she sat inside pottering about in Cyberia and wasting precious daylight hours. So we resisted the temptation. After all - two hours snatching podcasts and fascinating snippets and commentary about the new Abolition of Liberty Bill 2005 should be more than enough.

After last week's countless freeze ups and misbehaving mousies and grumpy owls, was not going to be so silly and risk ruining this Sunday over such silliness. So we decides to make the first port of call our favorite lunatic asylum. Would stay there and listen to The National Interest followed by an interview with Harold Pinter and then lounge about until 3pm at the free outdoors concert. Last week was Stringybach and this weeks some country and blues grass group. Pretty good too. Glad we stayed and spent more time lounging about and less time online. Should have stayed for Stringybach last week instead of slinking off and wasting precious sunshine time inside snatching stuff from Cyberia - or rather - trying to. But sometimes the Izzie gets irrationally obsessed - with full moon and all last week - that's our excuse and we are sticking to it.

The place was packed with folks having their picnics and assorted nibblies. The Aussies sure know how to have a good time and such glorious weather is just a perfect excuse to do so. There seemed to be a whole pile of stuff on today. Even at the concert we could hear the occasional bang which sounded like fireworks which seemed hardly likely in the middle of the day. This went on and on until sometime around 6pm or so. Maybe someone was having a belated Battle of Trafalgar. Turns out it had something to do with the Blessing of the Fleet which is some Italian tradition involving bottles of champagne and parades of statues down the main street. Izzie will one day get around to seeing exactly what goes on but today was not going to be it. This place would be so utterly boring without the Italians.

Will be back here tomorrow coming from the ma's place. The bus is cheaper from there so it makes sense to make two days of it. Tuesday is el cheapo movies day in downtown Dursleyville so will go to see "Enron - the smartest guys in the room" So so looking forward to seeing that. Might even suggest that Uncle Vernon potter along too. He just loves his doom and gloom (just like his daughter)

The Izzie can feel a Ratty Rant coming on but will have to save it for later after chewing over the latest tasty morsels. Got Dolores annoying us on the work front and the Rat is ruining the bigger picture. At least we can still laugh at them but problem is - it's not funny anymore. Will some one rid of us this pestilent toad?
