The Sausage Factory
09/12/2005 11:30 amIzzie is having a fit of the giggles. Our last day to get a fix of our new found fetish for rubber stamps and Reichstag Radio
You just gotta love a democracy where senators spend 4 hours this morning discussing some pissy new university and international aid to Outer Mongolia when the Abolition of Liberty Bill got a whopping 2 1/2 hours.
And now the Regime of the Rat has announced an extension of the last sitting of the Senate to bulldoze their last piece of nasty legislation concerning the destruction of student unions.
Looks suspiciously like "Gleichschaltung" to the Izzie.
With all the attention on industrial legislation, terrorism and voluntary student unionism, the truly wicked proposed legislation on cross media ownership seems to have completely slipped under the radar screen. With a mixture of sedition laws and Rupert Murdoch holding the reins, the mainstream media won't be shitting in the Rat's nest.
All part of the Rat's cunning plan for world domination ;)
Izzie had been under the impression that the VSU bill was going to be left for next year since Senator Bananaby Joyce seems to be in severe danger of suddenly developing a spine and actually crossing the floor. Oh, the petty devious Snapishness of the Rat has no limits.
Another of their sneaky tactics is to pile up stacks of amendments with such impeccable timing that even their own side don't have time to read let alone scrutinize them. And some of these amendments most likely contain some sneaky screaming Easter eggs that were too damned hot to touch. Nice touch of "Nacht und Nebel"
Oh... and the nuclear waste dump - Let's build it in Canberra.
Yesss. To be truly evil, one does not need to break the law but to follow it to the letter.
UPDATE - Izzie has been muchly mistaken in Senator Fielding. Seemed so decent if rather naive in the serfchoices debate. But this time, this so called Christian senator - well and truly sold his soul for 33 silver sickles. But when you sleep with rats you get up with fleas (and maybe even bubonic plague) Seems that the Rat was a busy little bastard in bed while the rest of the liberal Senators fiddled and farted about in Outer Mongolia. Stroke of genius that one - but nothing will be forgotten. Nothing will be forgiven - well at least not by this serpent anyway.
Oh what a historic Freaky Friday it was today. Chop chop. Vive la Guillotine
PS - Now how many years in the slammer for seditiousness, do you think this post should get the Izzie?
