Would I guess if it was the Grinch? I thought at first it was about politics (propaganda), but then started to get the vibe of it being closer to home, because you've been mentioning the Grinch quite a lot lately, and maybe it was the combination of "your flesh", "your blood", and "narcissist". And then the tag gave it away for sure :)
So the surgery was kind of a Rite of Passage for you! Getting rid of the cancerous lump not only physically but spiritually. Of course you did all the groundwork already, with the court order, and a damn good job, too. Yay for the return of the Muse, and the Yellow brick road to the Emerald City? :) (Elphaba is back with a vengeance ;)
