The Week the Magic Died
16/01/2016 06:00 pmZiggie Stardust and Severus Snape both dead in less than a week. The world is just a little less magical now that they are gone.
Chris Hadfield gave the most gorgeous tribute ever along with that song
"Ashes to ashes, dust to stardust. Your brilliance inspired us all. Goodbye Starman."
David Bowie was not only a man of many faces but a very clever goblin too. Years ago he was the talk of Wall Street when he proposed the quirky concept of Bowie Bonds.
This arrangement provided him big fat wads of cash with the interest paid from his rather large stream of royalties. He used the stash of cash to buy out his manager and probably tossed some very big parties.
At first the idea was regarded as a bit of a joke but it must have eventually caught on.
And there he was in his dying days still putting on a show for the fans. Such impeccable timing.
Still hard to believe that he was 69 when he seemed more like a cross between a vampire Martian and Peter Pan.
And Alan Rickman who will always be the Potions Master as far as this serpent is concerned. What a spooky seductive and deliciously menacing voice. It has power to 'bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses"
In some ways the scary and spooky persona only adds to the magic of the silky snarky voice.
