King George goes gardening

izmeinaWell, Izzie is in the last week of her 3 bean-free months and will soon be conspicious by her absence in Cyberia. So a couple whinges before she goes.
Latest news.... King George is dusting the cobwebs off 'Son of Star Wars' and is asking the usual coalition of brown nosed lap dogs to join the party....(and bring their own dog biscuits as usual)
His antics never cease to amaze me. Been reading some scary stuff about the state of the schools in some of the replies in Sara's journal. Sorry - it's in UJ and even if it was here... links is way beyond Izzie's intellectual capabilities. Seems their books are getting shabbier and classes are being cancelled left right and centre due to lack of money.
If King George and his cronies were left in charge of the back garden.... they would sell the chooks, plant GM crops, spray Roundup every 2 minutes.... using contract Labour from Mexico and Puerto Rico of course!) get CNN to promote the benefits of this marvellous agricultural model to the masses or impose its adoption as part of any IMF finance packages.....
Izzie thinks she would have better luck with a couple buckets of sheep manure, lots of compost with copious quantities of comfrey and nettles...not to mention oooodles and ooodles of squishy slimy earth worms to squiggle around and be silly. Oooh and of course, one has to hug the trees and talk to the turnips.
But that don't do any good for the bottom line of Monsanto so it must therefore be a tool of the Axis of Evil to destroy the entrepeneurial free-market ethos that made the US the bastion of democracy and defendor of freedom for the enslaved and hungry masses... etc etc.
In plain English for a change (A first for Izzie) the most expensive and complicated solution - which often turns out to only make the original problem worse is often nowhere near the best.
Surely Mohammed Atta and his gang of nineteen nasty men have proven beyond all doubt what a total waste of time and money an antimissile space shield would be??
Putting the thing up would be almost an invitation to others of their ilk to constantly remind everyone of the hubris of building 'invincible' shields or unsinkable ships.
Oh and another quirky question for you interesting creatures. Now that the UN in all its forms has proved itself to be a sad spineless toothless tiger, when King George and cronies refuse to pay the bags of 30 silver sickles on offer to Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the Iraqi Kurds...etc etc (Sorry the Turkish Kurds as usual never get made such wonderful offers) for all sorts of assistance in removing the Sorcerer's Ex Apprentice Saddam Hussein..... who will have the authority to enforce these contracts or to punish King George for 'significant material breach' of contracts??
