Never mind how many angels can dance on the head of a pin..... what Izzie and others want to know.... can Vampires be Kosher???

The religious Jews are notorious for finding excuses and workarounds for mostly bloody EVERYTHING. Let's see, it's forbidden to use electricity on Shabbat ? ok let's make it not to "use" but to "switch on/off". Now it's easy - let's install zillion of electrical appliances which can be toggled by a clock, or just switched on in advance and are working throughout all Shabbat (shabbat elevators, heating pads, lights) (thus consuming tons of extra energy). In case of emergency, it's ok to resort to innocent cheating such as "accidentally" pressing the light switch by leaning on it, or "accidentally" letting a child to touch it with his finger.

So we just need more vampires and let their needs be heard ! Surely the rabbis will be able to negotiate with their God and find the solution which will satisfy all parties.

As for me, I'd prefer the Christian way of sinning and then getting the absolution from the priest by confessing. This way, not only you can stay honest, but you also get a perfect listener to hear about all your dirty secrets ;-)

And bestest of all...... unlike a therapist, the priest charges NOTHING!!! And some priests have been known to offer assistance in sinning for no extra charge!
Izzie has been reading with great interest, some of these discussions about the letter and spirit of the law and must say they would be hilarious if they weren't so serious. Mr De Mello has some wonderful stories on the subject... must really go and find some.
Now what about the Muslim vampires?????
