Dazed and Confused
21/10/2003 07:50 pmIzzie has now got two whole weeks holidays. That does not mean slinking, slithering and generally lounging about. There are still those nasty NEWTs in November to worry about, not to mention that tedious tax return required by the vultures before Halloween. And mountains and mountains of housework to which I have developed a sudden allergy.
Today we had another insufferable boring class with Professor Binns. Izzie half nodded off several times and was almost expecting visions of long dark corridors, spinning candle lit rooms with fiery crosses on the doors and strange visions of whispering voices and soft ticking noises.
But it did give me the idea - now once there is no more worries about exams, it really would be interesting to have a go at conjuring up some of those mysterious rooms. A real evil possibility would be to start with a silvery wispy rippling curtain. Abandon all hope..ye who enter here.....
But knowing what you want and working out how to do it are two rather different things indeed. I guess it is time to consult the oracle of Google for advice.
And Iz consulted the oracle of wisdom and it remained silent!
Or rather, there was plenty to read, but NOTHING to ogle at. No blue rooms, no dusty silvery spheres. Oblivion.
Iz better start with a sneak peek at GIMP. Oh after 18 November of course.
Just twenty minutes snooping around Dreamweaver was enough to make Izzie dizzy with confusion. How many years does it take to decode this thing???
For the last 4-5 days Iz has had a rattly voice that would be the delight of any self respecting Dementor. (or frog for that matter)And such a dazed and confused head to go with it that one would swear it was caused by a severe overdose of Floo Powder.
Well....really must be going. Gotta be looking our bestest for the arrival of the Dark Lord who graces us with his divine presence tomorrow. The Man of Steel (Oh by the way it sounds so mucb better in Russian;))and King George - With friends like these, who needs enemies?
PS Like any self respecting Dark Lord, he too has his own private school to train students in all aspects of the Dark Arts
