It was party time today in Izzieland. Hard to believe but it has now been ten years since I left the dark gloomy disputed territories of Durmstrangland (Durmieland for short) and arrived in dull Dursleyville.

Lots of stuff has happened in those 10 years but the best of it in the last two.
Izzie figures that it might be just the perfect excuse to pack up the bottlies, bread and cheese, the little green book and the old blue one and head off to one of the sacred sites to celebrate the sunset and contemplate the meaning of life, the universe and everything. Oh and also to start the new green book since I finished the old one on Saturday.

After the sunset, the next stop would be to visit Petunia's, have some more bottlies and a barbecue and stay for the night.
As well as being the tenth anniversary of the Izzie arrival in Dursleyville, it also happened to be Wednesday 19th. Izzie always associates Wednesday 19 with December 2001 when she went to her favorite beach to watch the sunset and brought along a rather interesting book with the strange title "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" By that stage, having read all the others, had come to the conclusion that this stuff was truly worthy of being made into a ritual and read only in the nicest of places. No more mad rushing to see what happens next. Had already done that with book 4 and the results were rather nasty indeed. Meeting the Dementors without learning how to defend oneself against them is truly playing with fire - or should that be ice and grey fog ;)

Well. Life is what happens when you are busy making other plans. It rained! Not much to do at the beach when it is miserable and wet. But at least there is another place that does offer alternatives for such occasions as well as having the advantage of being more accessible to and from Petunia's place in the Floo network. That of course is St Brutus Secure Institute for Incurably Addicted Muggles (the uninformed think that it is a lunatic asylum converted into an arts centre but Izzie knows otherwise)

The funny thing, as well indulging in a few five year plans, came across some of the old ones. 2001 was such a nasty year that Iz decided to celebrate New years day twice - second time being 1st of May.
There is something about putting ones thoughts in the pensieve that seems to make them so much more real and concrete. So many things on the Izzie list got done long after forgetting writing the thing. The funniest was the wishful thinking desire to become during the following 12 months more 'calm, cool and collected' and to visit Middle Earth in December 2004. Did not however do so well with the plans for the green garden full of trees and frogs. It is a major effort to keep anything alive except for cacti. But now I got three goblin free months, there is no excuse.
Well, Iz has found some new schemes to get those subconscious Nifflers off sniffling. The mind is a strange, scary and most powerful thing indeed.
Apart from finally getting some green little fingers and turning the Sahara Desert into the Garden of Eden (complete with associated interesting creatures) the other big grand plan is to have the nooky nest all paid off by Nov 2006 or Nov 2008 at the very very latest.

Now Iz has got to busy her little brain imagining all the lush verdant vegetation in the itsiest bitsiest detail and then get out there and actually water the weeds.
