An Izzie Thanksgiving celebration
27/11/2003 09:51 pmIzzie is not an American but that did not stop her having her very own Thanksgiving celebrations today sitting by the beach at sunset with cheese, crackers and a bottle of red. And what is Iz celebrating? Well two years ago on Tuesday 27 November 2001 Iz picked up a small book with a very strange cover and came across this interesting sentence
"Mr and Mrs Dursley of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal. Thank you very much."
Had no idea at all that this was the start of a grand adventure which would take Iz to the strangest places - including the delightful dungeons of Azkaban and the darkest gloomiest graveyard.( Last time that Iz got so freaked out by a spooky scene was after hearing a certain poem that shall remain nameless. It gave me the creeps for weeks)
So there is just so so much to be thankful for. Of course this is just the excuse I needed to start reading the first book yet again ( must be six times by now) and it still remains as enchanting as ever.
What a wonderful way it was to spend the day. Good food, nice wine and the company of friends.
