izmeinaThe time has come at last for the Izzie to slip off her silver serpent ring and exchange her emerald green hat for a Dobby teacosy. Yesss. The Izzie holidays are finally over and tomorrow afternoon will be back at work. And what will the Iz be doing when she is not at work? Why studying of course!
Today we finally got back those nasty accounting assignments that so so ruined the Izzie Easter. Was thinking that I needed a 14/20 to keep up at the 70% level since I'd already accumulated 16.67/20 on those randomly collected assignments. So was quite pleased to get a 15. So it's nice to go into the exam needing to get just under 40/60 in order to stay up in the seventies.
Got really high scores in the understanding of the material and arrangement of information in a logical sequence sort of stuff but totally stuffed up the referencing. Bad Iz did not use the Harvard system. But there was two components to it. One for using the right format - dotting the i's and crossing the t's and the other for actually making sure that everything that was quoted in the text ended up in the reference list. Got that bit right at least.
So now we only need to get 40/60 in both those subjects but even so still have an extra 10 marks to spare from the 80 in that piece of piss internet law unit. As long as Iz can keep the total average at 70 it does not matter where each percentage point got picked up.
Was a bad little serpent and went to that museum after all. Turned out to be the only person on the guided tour as it was a miserable wet and horrid day. The museum guide had a most fascinating story about the revenge of a very grumpy Rainbow Serpent who did not take too kindly at all to having bits of its slinky scales blown up with dynamite way back at the turn of the century. The museum was built on the mouth of the river and that is where Snakie's head is supposed to be in the legends.
Baaad things happen to folks who are nasty to serpents.
Was also hoping to post a little squiggle with links about the corrupt Klan cops caught in the act. Several years ago a car was caught speeding at 130km in a 60 zone. The images on the speed cameras showed some dodgy creatures in white hoods doing the two fingered salute. The car couldn't be traced at first because the clever critters had covered their number plates. But some one out there put two and two together and it turned out to be a bunch of cops in the car - cops whose job it was to catch speeding motorists. This all happened in September 2001 and seemed to be forgotten in the light of more interesting events elsewhere. But it never did die and these nasty little shits still haven't had the book thrown at them like they should.
The cops in this place can be very very badly behaved. Is nothing like a bit of power mixed with alcohol to create instant ass-holes. Such a potent mix can be most intoxicating indeed. Apparently they got themselves in the Drudgereport - whatever that may be but Iz does not have time to google for gossip.
Until we can fish up more facts - for the moment will make do with the following sad snippet
