Dearest Dolores

izmeinaAnother quiet and uneventful day in Izzieland. Will soon potter off to go shopping and get ready for an afternoon of excitement at work. Well. It should be very very entertaining. Iz never got around to mention that Dolores the boss who has excelled herself in recent weeks in the pink fluffiness department has decided to move on to pinker pastures and announced her departure last Wednesday. Oh happy day. So there should be lots of gossip. But that does not end the fact that before she announced this momentuous event, she is getting rid of one of the nicest registered nurses of all - the one Iz calls Posh Spice. Having a fun time at work, getting the job done while creating a good atmosphere without fuss and fanfare and treating the house elves like real human beings is not the sort of behaviour that ever endeared anyone to the likes of Dolores. She is getting rid of Posh Spice so that she can give her weekend shifts to the latest blond bluey eyed arrogant Aryan bitch - a nasty little Orc from Middle Earth. (At last count - we have at least five creatures from Middle Earth. It is such a very very pretty place but no one seems to want to live there)
Izzie asked the Spice girl if she is going to sue for unfair dismissal. Posh had a wonderful answer and said basically the only thing she could achieve from taking legal action is to get her job back and she has more self respect than to work for a boss who behaves in such an unprofessional manner. So it sure will be a surprise to her to hear of the departure of Dolores. Iz wonders if she will regret her decision to resign.
So tonight will be the last weekend working with the bubbly bundle of laughs and lots of us will probably bring in nibblies and stuff and have a little party. One tonight and another one tomorrow evening. And as for Dolores - maybe she will finally leave in the last days of this year. Iz is already thinking about what nice pink and fluffy prose to write on the Goodbye card.
