Back on the Chain Gang

izmeinaIzzie has not been doing much online slinking of late. Our three weeks holidays are over and it's back to doom and gloom and Dearest Dolores doing her damndest to make life miserable for us house elves. Will be most most interesting indeed to see how the new routine on weekends runs when there are no cleaners or laundry staff at all. Will not be too long before the place starts looking like a pig sty.
The Izzie is presently at the Angel's cafe getting our weekly fix of podcast downloads. It is a wet miserable rainy day. Was so so tempting to stay curled up in the Serpent Basket like we did yesterday after work, but there's library books to be returned and Pipsqueaks to be fed. Next week will have Saturday off instead of Thursday. As those library books were due back on the 14th June, would be not nice at all. We love libraries so much and just do not like taking them for granted or abusing users' priveleges by returning stuff more than a day or two overdue.
Finally come to the conclusion that due to crappy bus services on Saturdays, there is no way the Izzie will be able to get to any book store on 16th July in time for 7am. 7.30 is just possible so it turns out that we miss out on entering the best dressed character competition which gets drawn at 6.55am - the prize being one free copy of the princely Preciousss.
So since this is possible, makes most sense to get our copy here since it's only around the corner from St Brutus which is where we would be pottering off to anyway and not sneaking a peek at a single sentence until entering its gorgeous gardens.
So, will go down to both bookshops and see which one is offering the best freebies before finally placing our order with the best one. So so peeved to be missing out on not only entering the competition but seeing all the other critters dressed up looking as unDursleyish as it is possible to be. So now the question is - since we will be arriving too late to join in the fun - shall we go as fluffy pink or Serpent Green?
