Moonshine and monsters

izmeinaThe decadent serpent only has time for ickle squiggles lately. Thanks to all those nasty 7am starts, never seem to get much time lurking online as we usually don't slink into Cyberia until 11pm or so and now this time has to be reserved for snoozing.
Been moon watching two nights in a row. Was in two minds today since it had been a stinking 36 celsius but in the end decided that it would be a waste not to make the most of the one good thing about early shifts.
Was so busy watching the critter peeking out from a cloud with its bright yellow face that we never seen the couple walking along the river bank who got all excited while passing. Just assumed it was a pair of darters - birds with very long snakie necks that they were admiring and said that we were too busy moonwatching to notice. In fact - it was not a big long neck but two sets of fins that had attracted their attention. It was two dolphins swimming right next to the river bank and hardly two metres away from the Izzie. Never ever seen dolphins that close up and they certainly were most pretty. They slinked off further down the river away from the direction of the moon followed by a fan club of oohing and aawing tourists. So turns out that it was just as well we did go for a moonshine picnic instead of lurking about the Lair like we will be doing tomorrow evening.
Might finally catch up on emails and stuff and seriously consider getting organized concerning making back ups of stuff now that Lj archive no longer functions. One of our usual haunts in Cyberia has suddenly disapparated. So the Iz will need to make a pre-emptive strike. Maybe the best alternative is just having a copy over at greatest journal.
