Well Osama and his US pursuers have been so busy preparing ('wrecking') Afghanistan, I'm sure every right-minded tourist wanting to see Democracy in action will be flooding in to Kabul any day now if they took a leaf from our Govt's tourist campaign adverts.
Iraq should borrow some ideas from us as well, though perhaps it is just as well to not mention the Australian Wheat Board at the moment. What better way to bring back economic growth, guided tours leading the 'freedom' tourists to the bomb-flattened buildings where thousands of Iraqi civilians were 'liberated' by the US military. What a stirring and exemplary show and I'm sure the locals will welcome visitors with showers of rose petals as they bring back welcome tourist dollars to their economy. Another proud example of US encouraged democracy on show. Though the mentioning that the dust may be impregnated with depleted uranium from the megaton laser-guided bombs is best avoided. Wouldn't want those pesky WHO officials informing potential 'freedom' tourists about the impact on their health of the stuff as they inhale it along with the heady fumes of democracy and freedom in newly-liberated Iraq.
