The Passion of Mel

Well. The King of Conspiracy theories truly has his cross to bear. Wonders if anyone will offer the poor dear a drink while he's up there.
What the Iz can never understand is how these critters get so emotional and well - passionate about those evil nasty Jews ruling the world and stuff. It's almost like it's personal. (and unfortunately - Izzie does not have to look as far as Mel Gibson for a specimen of this sort)
And he can apologize and obfuscate all he likes. Izzie is a true believer of the old saying "In vino veritas" And all the while - the poor thing probably sees himself as a misunderstood Victim of some grand conspiracy theory rather than of his own stupidity
Iz did see that movie and aside from learning how to count to twenty in Latin (forgotten it since) came to the conclusion that one advantage of turning Jesus of Nazareth into a God was that it saved the bother of actually having to listen to what he said. And funny - in spite of all the gore and grime, blood and guts and stuff - Mr Gibson wimped out in the end and omitted certainly rather likely details of the crucifixion that would have mortified the Moral Majority. Unlike the absolutely gorgeously wonderful "Jesus of Montreal" which did not omit them but did not dwell on them either and concentrated more on the message rather than the glorification of suffering for the sake of it.
