Sniffing and snoozing

izmeinaYet another glorious sunny day in Dursleyville. Should be packing those bags but still procrastinating.
After a coffee tasting freebie yesterday (a bit too many dark roasted beans) and an early start to the day to pay a visit to our old friends at that public speaking group that meet at 7am Friday mornings, the Izzie is feeling somewhat snoozie. Had no idea just how evil real coffee can be. Had to go to the loo 3 times in the middle of the night and did not sleep particularly well either.
Spent a lovely evening sitting by the beach watching the sunset and listening to the waves - something so enchanting and hypnotic about waves. Was all relaxed and comfortable but did not take too long after getting on the bus before we got an attack of the grumps. Izzie could never ever be an astronaut. The constant stops and starts and fondness of so many drivers for slamming on the brakes is enough to make us all agitated - even before the old spin dryer effects of turning around so many circular winding roads.
Intended to do the weekly washing tonight but the poor Izzie ears are just exhausted from overwork so procrastinated on that one and will instead be sitting out in the garden under the orange tree with a glass of red and sniffing the blossoms. It's only in the last few days that they've become noticeable and the scent - while sometimes overpowering is really quite delightful. Lemon blossoms smell bestest of all but it's a bit of a bummer trying to use up all that fruit.
It will be so strange indeed tweeking the Time Turner next week and going from Spring to Autumn. The tulips are in full bloom over here but the best place to see them is a bit out of the way when your only form of transport is a broomstick. Unlike much of mainland Europe, a lot of Oz - even in the cities is not easily accessible by public transport
