Well. The Catholic Church of all organizations has been more familiar than most with using rather 'persuasive' means to get its point across but it's still annoying to see so much pussyfooting and backflipping not to upset those ever so peaceful Mullahs. Such militant behaviour only proves the truth of the accusations that they are so determined to deny.
Just a brief reminder of the Inquisition would have done far more to prove their point than all this huffing and puffing about being insulted.
Izzie so so wonders how the last Pope would have handled this incident. Probably not with so much grovelling.

You know, I finally found out about this controversy today (been avoiding all sources of news ever since the football team lost on the weekend), and I think what's most annoying is that...

Izzie did not know until recently that there was some government department in Malaysia dedicated solely to Muslim marriage matters. Got the impression that Muslim women there are not allowed to marry non Muslims but the males can marry whomever they like. Some story about a girl who changed her name to Lin and converted to Christianity who came up against these crazy rules.

Do tell us more about these delightful laws.
