Sun, Moon and Stars

Izzie has already started part of the grand plans for 2009. After many experiences of annoyance and frustration while slinking in Cyberia - it's our stand out memories of the place for 2008, came to the conclusion that at least one scheduled big night off per week would be an excellent idea. And Sunday is the obvious choice - finishing work late at 9pm and needing to be there again at 7 the next morning
It's an especially good idea during this time of gorgeous long but mild nights and bright sunny days. Absolutely perfect for star gazing - although just a little bit too bright at present. Twilight is not until after 10pm or so
And time not spent star gazing in search of the ever so elusive Gemini - we know exactly where to find it but too many bits are missing to tick it off the list - time not spent slinking under the stars gets to be spent doing a bit of decluttering and sorting or even reading
Chewing the cud and enjoying what we got instead of constantly slinking in search of new online adventures will make it that much easier to resist temptation in the new year
Soon a new toy will arrive to add to the interest of slinking around the sky rather than Cyberia. Uncle Vernon has got Izzie a telescope for Christmas. He first wants to try it out on the moon for the next few nights before bringing it over
But as of tomorrow the summer sizzle begins. A week of 36s and 39s forecast - two of those for 1st and 2nd of January. Will still be slinking off to visit our sacred sites anyway with snaky daggers, rat and runes in tow along with a deck or two of devil's playing cards. Should certainly be able to divine a list of new year's resolutions with all those pretty toys
But now it's time to slink off downstairs to see just how much sunshine Izzie sold today. Almost made it to a megawatt for the end of the year but not quite. That will most likely be Friday. Just the perfect excuse for a toast to the Big Yellow Beast
