Izzie slinks into Cyberia after the best part of a month absence. Or more correctly said, hanging around in other lurking grounds than the usual

The squiggling frenzy that was Camp Nanowrimo is over, the visitors from overseas are gone and life is slowly returning to abnormal.
So much stuff going on locally and out there in the big bad world but feeling too drained and brain dead to gossip about any of it

Maybe in the next few weeks will get around to catching up and doing a bit of stuff in the Lair too. The place has been invaded by feral nasturtiums and the pretty pom pom blossoms of the wattles are popping up everywhere

There's broad beans and dragon fruit to be planted and general decluttering and goblin business to attend to also
Then there's a certain birthday to attend to in the next few weeks. Aside from lots of bottle of booze, what on earth do you get the mother who has got everything?

Now it's time to slink off into the darkness. Got loads of procrastinating to do to make up for the lack of it last month

Well I think the Red Queen will just continue ignoring the Mad Hatter and get on with getting her legislation passed in the House. She can do nothing about The Parrott and Abbott's other loony-tunes supporters or the rabid Murdoch Media pack, so she shouldn't bother responding to them.

When Murdoch's web sites disappear behind the pay wall next month I wonder if the rabid flock of vultures who comment there will cough up to continue to post their venomous vomit, the strangest mix of climate change deniers, misogynists and right-wing nutters, true loons and that is being unkind to the poor innocent birds. Maybe it will lessen the impact of the Murdoch minions. Interesting excerpt of Robert Manne's Quarterly essay piece featured in SMH yesterday -

http://www.smh.com.au/opinion/politics/a-pressing-case-for-standing-up-to-rupert-murdochs-bullying-20110901-1jo2i.html

and another excerpt this morning -

http://www.smh.com.au/opinion/politics/fair-balanced-reporting-not-on-murdoch-agenda-20110901-1jnzx.html

I'm hoping Australians who've fallen for the Abbott spin and Murdoch muck will wake up from their self-deluded fantasies of being pitifully deprived and hard up, especially those that are earning $150,000 or more. This downward envy of the poor, the desperate boat arrivees and anyone who receives some form of government social security payment is pathetic and distasteful.
