A Pattern of Madness

This serpent has been a bit of a Trump junkie in recent months. Dusted off “The Art of the Deal” and also snaffled “Crippled America” from the local library. Riveting reading and utterly hilarious but for all the wrong reasons. No need for Cliff’s Notes to work out that this is definitely a case of the unreliable first person narrator. All Big League preening and self aggrandisement on steroids.
Especially entertaining were the 3 presidential debates for an assortment of unintended insights. There are many folks who would rather be in the coffin than delivering the eulogy at a funeral. If plain vanilla weddings and funerals public speaking is so high on the ‘worst things’ ever list, then how much more stressful can it be to know that there is a potential audience of millions many of whom are openly hostile to you and when the stakes are nothing less than the keys to the White House?
This was the perfect chance to watch how the candidates performed under pressure. All the flustered huffing and puffing came from one side of the fence.
Particularly astonishing was when The Trump declared that he would only recognise the results of the election if he won. Now that is the sort of genie that you do not let out of its bottle unless you are either a very sore loser
Or truly deeply believe that you have a snowball’s chance in hell of wining and this seems like a good way of saving face
Or you are an arrogant short sighted twit who does not realise that a genuine win would be tainted by such outrageous proclamations
After seeing the meeting at the White House a few days later, I could not understand why the Trump looked so filled with rage and hatred when he had just gotten his golden ticket and once in a life time chance to Make America Great Again
But then the serpent got to thinking - he does look a bit like a deer caught in the headlights. What if this expression is not rage but total and absolute terror. Fear that he had been playing poker and bluffing all along and any moment now will have to reveal his handful of crappy cards?
What if the whole thing was a joke and a giant ego trip that had gotten totally out of hand? But it seemed like a good idea at the time. But now the shit has hit the fan and it’s time to get the hell out of here.
Winners are no longer grinners.
So having noticed that the Donald had gone missing in action in the Twitterverse for a day or so around the time of the election - maybe he is too busy partying and then this was followed by a rant about protesters - how unfair considering he had won fair and square and then a few hours later feigned praise for passionate people exercising their right to free speech - one very Trump and the other rather presidential and totally and completely out of character and then how one day there was four Hamilton whinges and then there was only three, got to thinking that there is a pattern here.
In the first case, some managers or minions had kept him away from the twitter account in case he would crash and burn and do something totally stupid in the very last minutes of voting, the second case the same advisers must have told him to try live up to that totally phony acceptance speech.
As for Hamilton, no idea why he would nuke any of the snark. Curious serpents need to know.
But now the Trump has gone totally feral.
In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally
Apparently extraordinary claims do not require extraordinary evidence unless they are coming from the other mob.
He spends a good five tweets screaming at CNN telling them that it is their job to prove the claims that HE is making

Since he has apparently decided not to jail Hillary - well for the moment at least - he has turned his wrath to evil loony lefties busily burning the flag
Nobody should be allowed to burn the American flag - if they do, there must be consequences - perhaps loss of citizenship or year in jail!
And all this at 4 in the morning!
While the first amendment sorts are not quite as crazy as the fans of the second, there is likely to be no shortage of them amongst the Republican party and there are plenty of folks in the twitterverse only too happy to give him some unsolicited lessons in civics and constitutional law many of whom are not even US citizens!
He already seems rather well informed about the truck sized loop holes concerning presidential immunity from conflicts of interest. How very convenient. Here is hoping that the loop holes also have loop holes.
He won't be able to wriggle out of the Pennsylvania Avenue Post office contract so easily. That will be the one to watch and the one he keeps trying to distract folks from with the endless whiny twitter tantrums
So all this sad smoky cry baby tantrums could simply be evidence of his giant ego unleashed. But maybe there is a method to the madness.
He likely never expected to win but the bigger the lie got the harder it was going to be to jump off the train without losing face Big League. Especially as it must be slowly dawning on him that he will not be able to run his empire and the nation without questions of conflicts of interest and corruption that will make the Clinton Foundation dodgy dealings look like as insignificant as a kid rattling a collection tin on a street corner. All those precious Trump Towers are going to be bulls eyes for terrorists, the residents of the New York towers will be mightily pissed off by all the extra security. I guess it would be like going through airport security every day just to get in and out of the building.
While the governments might pick up the security tab at home, that will certainly not be the case in Turkey, in India, Scotland and all those other far flung outposts of empire.
So there is only one way out now without losing face. Piss off the folks in the Electoral College so much that they will turn into a horde of treacherous lying rodents running scurrying away from the crazy Pied Piper.
Soon his former fence sitting fans will be begging the Electoral College to save them from this pestilential Priest of Doom - the Beast 66 unleashed.
Just about 35 should do it. He can call them traitors and treacherous rats and lily livered cowards or whatever and proclaim how the whole System and Twitter is RIGGED against him while privately breathing a sigh of relief as he sells the movie rights to the sad saga.
Face saved. Poor victim status preserved followed by hordes of rampaging fans who refuse to accept that facts should trump feelings.
The Orange Trumpet has truly turned everything he touches into a poisoned chalice.
