A Feast of weeds

I was supposed to be squiggling using the Big Mac and a proper keyboard but once again procrastinating.
It's hard to believe that exactly one year ago I was in hospital in a sort of limboland.
It was strange & surreal but surprisingly green. Maybe the meds. Maybe relief at dodging a ticking time bomb.
The only downside was that I could no proper gardening for several months. Then came the sizzling summer with 13 >40 days. So I basically spent 6 months doing nothing in the garden but watering and having funerals for the weed babies that died in those 40 degree weeks.
So I've been in a bit of a gardening frenzy this time.
The annual Garden Festival was moved from its usual spot in April to this weekend due to COVID being still a thing 6 months ago.
So in spite of my unofficial rule of no planting after the spring equinox, I went on a bit of a binge at today's festival.
It was a gorgeous sunny day but surprisingly chilly for so late in October.
Yesterday and Friday were 2 Halloween markets. Also the annual Astrofest was on yesterday. It was cloudy and rainy all day so I gave it a miss.
I've already planted 10 new leaf babies including 5 from today's stash.
All bird and bee attracting local plants Let's hope word doesn't get around to the neighbours' cats.
