A Fringe Feast

izmeinaI think I have finally crashed after nearly 2 weeks of Fringe Bingeing.
Every year I save up my war chest for mid January including the all important recent addition of the Friends Frenzy pass.
It costs 40 silver suckles. With 10 off for October early birds like me.
It's so much better than the original cheapskate Rushtix which are 30% to 50% discounts but only available after 11am on the day.
Getting 30% discount on many off peak shows and being able to book them as soon as the program is announced is a much less chaotic way of picking stuff to see.
I usually avoid Friday & Saturday shows so the Friends discount pass is perfect for me.
The icing on the cake is not just that big fat discount but the Skip the Queue perk too.
My Fringe Binge this year so far has included magic shows, a stage hypnotist, circus, cabaret, burlesque and boylesque.
A string of 36 to 39 degree days is forecast from tomorrow so I may lay low a while since the gorgeous Pleasure Garden with all the spooky Moreton Bay fig trees is not much fun on a hot humid evening.
All the performance venues have air conditioning but if you are an acrobat or a burlesque strip tease artist with feathers & high heels on stage in the glaring lights it must be as hot as hell.
Last year, all international acts were off the menu & a few from over East had to cancel shows due to the extended COVID travel restrictions. There was also the pesky QR code sign ins & proof of vax to be even allowed on the grounds.
It seems like centuries ago now.
