The Party is over
18/02/2023 11:50 pmToday is the second last day of the Fringe Festival.
Tonight I went to see "007 - A Licence to Thrill.
It's Bond. James Bond. Meets Burlesque.
It was a brilliant show in a dreadful venue.
Packed in like sardines with a good quarter of the seats having a pillar or some other monstrous carbuncle blocking the view.
The performers definitely deserved one of the gorgeous old spiegeltents.
They cram those seats in too but at least everyone gets an excellent view.
So tonight was my 20th show in 30 days.
I usually manage around 16 so I have been unusually decadent this time.
Tomorrow I will just lurk around the gorgeous Moreton Bay fig trees of the Pleasure Garden.
The last day of Fringe is always a sort of sad nostalgic day but also a relief in a way. 30 days is more than enough of a good thing.
It's like the first week of January when nearly everyone is looking forward to getting back to the usual routine.
For me that will include lots of gardening and hopefully a big catch up in Dreamwidth Journal world.
There's been no shortage of thought provoking posts lately.
So to switch from lurking to squiggling mode.
