Now that the Fringe Festival is well and truly over, I had the grandest of plans to get back to the Big Mac & add regular squiggling to my list of habits.
I switched off the desk top computer on Monday 9th January just before a forecast string of 3 to 4 days over 36 Celsius.
Then there was 4 weeks of the festival and now just as things finally calm down, a new heatwave started yesterday..The hot & humid sort where minimum temperatures don't fall below 22 or even 25.
I'm so glad I got the serpent curls nuked last week. I hate going to hairdressers. It's the Aspie equivalent of the dentist.
I was originally supposed to get rid of my wig before Christmas but I came down with COVID, tested positive for nearly 2 weeks then got well & truly into procrastination mode.
I have the whole day off tomorrow and had originally planned to go see Sculptures by the Sea which doesn't officially open til Friday.
But Fridays & weekends are always crowded so I like to take a sneak peek before the official opening.
I put it in Google Calendar at least 3 weeks ago.
But if it's going to be 38 degrees tomorrow, I will likely give it a miss.
I might go back instead to the amazing Wonderland - a temporary exhibition at the air-conditioned museum.
I was there last week for a special Friday evening session..
Absolutely magical. Especially the tea party with mushrooms.
But that's a tale for another day.
