Pretty putty cat stolen from Geekology (at least those geeks won't go suing this serpent for snatching their copyrighted cats)
And the wonderful parody based on the song "American Pie" by Don McLean. Most folks out there in Cyberia are way too young to remember the original

Evil goblin lawyers up to the usual tricks of dumping all the risk onto the little fish at the bottom of the food chain and poisoning the pond.
All they need to do is accuse you of UnAmerican activities such as sharing and taking the piss out of the corporate zombies. Most of us 99% will not have the means to defend ourselves from the Grand Inquisitors of Goblin Central
USA politicians once again go making the world safe for Rupert Murdoch, Hollywood, Microsoft, Monsanto and their minions

Date: 2012-01-19 05:21 pm (UTC)(I'd make a lousy anti-SOPA advocate because I'm a prime example of what SOPA warns agains... The tagline is "stop piracy, not liberty", but I'm pro-piracy, pro-stealing everything that is not physical, and I don't give a damn about the IP rights and creators getting paid for their work. The thrill of creativity should be a reward in itself. A true writer would write on his free time without expecting a monetary reward, all the best software is made by volunteers working without salaries, and if all commercial companies will go bankrupt because the loss of sales would prevent them from paying their staff, then good riddance. The world economy is a cesspool of vermin, if piracy could destroy it, it would be all for better.
Perhaps I don't care because I've never tried to make a living from digital goodies, I've always had a cushy job paid by hours, non-dependent on copyrights and trade secrets. That's why I'm not pushing my opinion on anyone. I pay for what I like to support, and quietly steal everything else.)

But not a gram of sympathy for the music industry. When the Iz came to Oz back in 1993 it cost a ridiculous 30 silver sickles to buy a standard new release music CD. In those days was getting paid eleven silver sickles per hour. Amazing how the advent of the internet soon reduced the price to around ten. If the music industry had not been so damned greedy to start with most folks would have been happy to pay between 5-10 for an album. They have no one to blame but themselves. And it is not like the actual artists themselves got to see much of that ridiculous $30
Oh and this is the funniest comment seen so far on the whole drama
