May the Farce be with you

The nostalgia was just too great to pass by this one. But the reason I was lurking in the serpent's vaults in the first place is that there is another election coming up rather soon. It happens to be on the same day as the next meeting of my new public speaking group and I have volunteered to give a speech
I had vague memories of having done this before and went looking for traces of previous policies, the party name etc etc.
I knew it was before 2010 because that is when the old club finally died and figured it was either 2007 or 2004.
It is really rather sad that I was able to remember the dates of every single Federal election since and including 10th November 2001. I was a bit vague on 2010 but had narrowed it down to either 14th or 21st August. I did remember it being a hung parliament and the boring fart cross bencher who rambled on for a whole 17 minutes before finally revealing which side he was going to align with. When you get your 15 minutes of fame, you have to make the most of it.
The Mad Monk tossed a giant hissy fit because he felt he was entitled to the top job. However he went into the negotiations like a bull in a china shop and just pissed everyone off with his desperate mendacity.
So now I have 2 weeks to develop some party policies, get them printed out, make up posters and stuff. Of course I don't HAVE to do any of this but why waste such a wonderful coincidence?
Since we recently moved our meeting venue to a room in a church building, it could be fun to resurrect the good old 1920s hysteria of treacherous Popish plots and how the kiddy fiddling Catholics are conspiring to take over the country etc etc.
Basically the One Nation Party platform replacing the M word with the C word.
So now I just need a party name and a slogan to go with those lovely inclusive policies. Good old
Green Blitz or the Australian Serpent Party are not quite fit for purpose.
On second thoughts - ASP offering free Apple iPads to all 3 year olds could be a winner.
